Fresh vegetables are important components of a...

Yesterday, we talked about our bodies being prone to disease when they are in an acidic state.  The two ways of creating acidity in our bodies are  Stress and Diet.  Today we want to hit on the diet aspect.  Everything we put into our bodies has an effect on us.  It is easier to create an acidic environment than it is to create an alkaline one.   For instance eating 4 donuts in comparison to eating 4 cucumbers.  The donuts could do more damage to our bodies then the cucumbers would do good.   In other words, it is important to focus on having a larger amount of Alkaline food in our diets to reverse the effects of acidity.  A 80% to 20% ratio would keep our bodies in a disease free state.  No not 80% burgers and fries!  Get your mind out of the gutter just for a few minutes.   The gutter won’t taste so good when you are in an alkaline state.  Just get used to having that word in your daily vocabulary, Alkaline.

If you set the intention every  morning to eat more of these PH balanced food, your body will start finding those foods.  You will have more of an eye out for them at the grocery store or at that favorite restaurant where you usually order ribs and hot wings.  The key is to incorporate these foods more often in your diet, being aware, and still allowing yourself to have that hot fudge sundae on special occasions.  You body will thank you by giving you more energy, a better outlook on life, better hormone balance (so no more excuses ladies), a more fulfilling sex life (That’s for you men), better sleep patterns, and a healthier glow and feel to your body and spirit.
