Our belief is that in order to obtain complete and total health we need to have a connection to our spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical selves. Over the next 30 days we will dedicate one week to each of these categories. We feel the foundation for our lives is our connection to our spirits. Because of this we will have this be the focus of our first week.
FIRST WEEK: SPIRITUAL

CHALLENGE FOR MAY 1st: PRAYER POINT VALUE: 2 points per prayer
What is prayer? In Websters dictionary, it states that prayer is an address (as a petition) to God or a God in word or thought. It’s an earnest request or wish. Communication with God has been a powerful tool for us in our lives. When we are consulting with God we open a channel to infinite possibilities. We have come to realize that he knows all things and wants us to succeed. We are learning daily that as we pray and let him into our lives he guides us to understand our purposes and who we are.
For instance, here is one of Brian’s experiences with prayer. “My mother was diagnosed with cancer while I was in High School. This news was devastating , especially because we were a health conscious family. My mom was my source of comfort. She was faithful and hopeful about life. She had a softness about her but also a strength that created an ease and trustworthy feeling. She knew what she stood for and stood that ground. I remember praying with my mom in our family often and although I didn’t realize it at the time, it had a great impact on me.
She used the powers of prayer to guide her to know what route to take for her cancer fight. She was led to the more holistic approach rather than the doing the chemo. As she was getting sicker one of the answers from her prayers came by way of friends in her church. They originated from Tahiti and knew of a treatment in Tahiti known to cure cancer. After only two weeks of being treated there, she came home a new person. She looked more vibrant, had more energy, more hope, and was happier. Then because of US custom laws they were unable to allow the products into the states. Eventually she lost her fight with cancer and died at age 43.
I had a passion for health from a young age. After my mother’s death I still had passion for the health field but after a few years I started losing my connection to it. Part of this disconnection was due to my confusion about my mom losing her battle to cancer while pursuing a natural treatments.
Five years ago I meet my wife, and she was passionate about holistic health. She introduced me to new health modalities and I could feel my passions for health being rekindled.
Because of my mom’s struggles and my confusion about them, it pushed me to rely on God and prayer. Now the confusion is dissipating and I am realizing that I do have purpose and it’s in the health field. I see that my mom’s life, struggles, and death are for a greater purpose. I now know that battling diseases such as cancer, is not only a physical battle, but is spiritual, emotional, and mental as well. This is my purpose, this is my passion, this is my prayer. Thanks mom.”
Brian’s Example illustrates the power of prayer and how we all can reconnect to our purpose. Nobody had a greater purpose then Christ himself. Many have used Jesus Christ’s example of how to pray which is found in Matthew chapter 6 in the New Testament. He was found praying to His Father many times to stay on purpose.
We invite all doing this 30 day challenge to read his prayer and use it as an example of how to pray. Remember it’s an EXAMPLE please use your own words, feelings, and thoughts while praying. God is listening. Something that has helped is to picture him sitting there by your side listening to all your saying and thinking. If there are those reading this that have never prayed test it out. What do you have to lose? We know that you will be strengthened and fortified through your health challenges as you pray.
PLEASE LET US KNOW THAT YOU ARE PARTICIPATING. WE WOULD LOVE EMAILS OF YOUR EXPERIENCES AND YOUR THOUGHTS. KEEP YOUR POINTS IN YOUR POINTS JOURNAL AND EMAIL US WEEKLY YOUR POINT TOTAL. REMEMBER THERE ARE PRIZES AT THE END OF THE THIRTY DAYS YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS OUT ON!
TO YOUR SUCCESS!
